Steve Madden Haul

Hey everyone!
I got my Steve Madden order just a few days back and I'm really excited about it!! Since I don't have time to go out and shoot some outfits right now I thought I'd share with you this little haul for now :)
I ordered from a page www.fashiondays.com which is something like slovenian Hautelook if you're familiar with it. It's a page where you can sign up and every day specific products from some brands are available to order at a reduced price. It's really cool and I'm so happy that all of the shoes are true to pictures and all of them fit me perfectly!

These are gorgeous gold flats covered with glitter! At first I was afraid that the glitters are going to fall down easily but actually I'd have to try really hard to get them off which is amazing! I got these in a size 36 because flats tend to fall of my feet while walking, that's why I always get a size smaller. I'm definitely going to be playing around with those and I already have in mind a post on how to wear them for a special occasion as well as how to incorporate them into a casual outfit.

These you'll recognise, I wore them in my last post and I love them! They are the perfect nude sandals for spring and summer, they go with everything, I can also wear them for a casual day or somewhere fancier, overall they're very versatile. I got the in 36 also, but only because they didn't have them in my size and I was extremely happy when I found they fit me perfectly!

As for last pair, you will either love them or hate them. Personally I adore them, I think they're to die for! Obviously they're not the most traditional shoe type that you get to see in public 10 times a day but I really don't care because I love them. Besides I always prefer to be a bit more unique rather than blend in with eveybody else. The main reason I got them because I'm craving for a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Litas and these Steve Madden ones are quite similar in style to JC.

I'll definitely get my hands on Litas one day, but until then, these will do ;) Fyi, you can expect a lot of outfits with these shoes because they are my current obsession. Oh and I got these in my size-37 and they fit perfectly as well :)

That's everything for today, I'm going to post some new outfits during the weekend :)

Lots of love, Ellie <3

Orange Pants

Hey there!

Today is such a beautiful day and I really felt like wearing orange! The funny thing is that I hated orange until last summer when it became extremely popular. It was just the most ugly and unflattering colour to me, I have no idea why, all I know is that my mom could never make me wear anything orange. But as we experienced colour blocking trend last season and it was orange everywhere, I sort of fell in love with it although I wasn't sure whether I was brave enough to wear it. Well this year I definitely am and I'm pretty sure you're going to see quite some outfits with them :)
So for this look I wanted to play with colours a bit and so I went for a slight colour blocking - pairing two colours that contrast each other, in this particular case, blue is opposite to orange in the colour wheel. I think this way of colour blocking with contrast colours is my favourite because it's such a pop of colour and it looks gorgeous! Although as I said before, this is only slight colour blocking as there's a lot of white incorporated as well (since I don't own an overall bright blue top, I just worked with what I have), which makes the look a bit more subtle and so out there. But I still love it!

Top: H&M (recent), pants: H&M (recent), shoes: Steve Madden (recent), cardi: Dorothy Perkins (last season), bracelet: Dorothy Perkins (last season), necklaces: the one with pendant was a gift from my mother when I was younger, the other one is just a random chain I wrapped around my neck twice. On my nails (if you're able to see) is Essie Mint Candy Apple and on my lips is ArtDeco lipstick in 435 with L'oreal 6h Glam Shine in Lasting Coral.

First post - some facts

Hey there everyone!

First of all I want to say a huge thank you to every one who is reading this and I really hope you're going to enjoy following this blog as much as I enjoy blogging.
As this is my first post here I'd like to introduce you to myself, things I like etc. so you can get to know me better asap :)

To begin somewhere, my name is Špela and I come from a small country Slovenia which is located east to Italy. If my name sounds to complicated to you or you maybe don't even have a slight idea how my name is supposed to sound, don't bother, you can call me Ellie which is some sort of a pseudonym or a nickname that I sometimes like to give myself as most of the world doesn't know how to pronounce my name (most of the world doesn't even have a clue how to say the first letter of my name also-which reminds me of my friend from England. I added her on Facebook and asked her whether she is able to see the first letter of my name and she said yes, it's an S with a random arrow on top :) ). This nickname actually comes from my second name-my baptismal name and it's Elizabeth. Now I'm going to call myelf Elizabeth at the age of 80 something, but for now I wanted to give it a more youthful feel to it and that's how Ellie it is. :)

Okay, moving on now that we've managed to clear up confusions regarding my name. I'm not going to fuss around boring facts such as my school and things, I'd rather focus on really introducing myself, my interest, hobbies etc. through pictures and a little bit of an explanation around each of it. So let's begin!

I should probably begin by posting my own picture, but since I don't have a too recent one, I thought you can wait until I post some outfits of the day. But if you're really want to see how do I look like, well I do have a profile picture ;)

The first thing I'd like to point out and it's probably going to be the main topic of this blog is FASHION.

The reason I posted this picture is because this is one of many fashion drawings I have drawn in my life. This particular one I drew when I was about 13 years old and that's quite a while ago (don't mind the things I wrote next to it, I was determining colours for each thing back then as well as I didn't want to spoil the drawing with colours; this one was supposed to be silver with black metal jewels and everything...I have no idea what I was thinking, but back then it seemed perfect to me.). Basically I wanted to tell you how much I love fashion and for how long this passion has been within me. Today I cannot go anywhere until I am 250% satisfied with my outfit and I cannot help myself but to always experiment with my clothes a bit or really go out there in a daring outfit. But there's no point talking too much about my style at this point as you're going to get to know it very soon :)

Next thing which became my passion right after fashion is everything related to MAKE UP.

Make is still my passion, the only thing that changed since 2007 (when I started getting into make up) is that I am not as ardent about it as used to be. There is reason for it and here it is: in 2007 I got really inspired to make youtube videos on make up as I saw many YT gurus doing so and achieving many things with it. And obviously I needed lots of make up for lots of different looks. And as I stopped making videos I suddenly didn't need 20 shades of purple eyeshadow (not that I own that many). The passion remained just in a slightly reduced form.
Anyways, focus on picture, this is a make up that I used to have a tutorial on how to achieve it on YT and this is one of those looks that I am most proud of as it is not so easy to blend the colours properly so it looks as though they're fading into each other and forming an adorable rainbow. It's not a look I personally would wear out in public on daily bases, I was only having fun with make up and being creative.

As you can probably tell by now I am an overall a very creative person as I was blessed with this amazing gift of being good at crafts, drawing and any sort of art. I like to express myself through clothes, make up and other areas that fall into a category I'm going to talk about next and it's BEAUTY.

First thing, the first photo isn't mine, I found it on google and it's a 5 strand braid. And I wanted to include it because I've recently learned how to make one but haven't had the chance to photograph it yet, but I might do that sometime in the future :) I absolutely love to play around with my hair (and my little sister's hair) and I think it's a great way to get creative as well and be a little bit more unique as opposed to anybody else with hair down, or having them in a ponytail or a bun.
The other picture though is mine (about a year old...well, it'll do :D), and it's BarryM Nail Paint in Mint Green. I also adore having my nails painted in different colours and designs. Since 2007 I don't think I've ever spend more than 2 hours without a nail polish on as I got so used to wearing it and I have all those beautiful colours to paint my nails with. It makes me really happy when I look down at my nails and they're pretty and colourful! And I chose this particular colour cuz it's one of my absolute faves ever since the last summer when it became popular. :)

Well I think it's time to wrap it up, those are basically the things you might want to know about me before we get into the real blog thing. If you happen to have any more questions or you just want to message me something you can always comment below :)

I wish you all a very happy day!

Lots of Love, Ellie <3
